For all Rising 7th-8th Grade Youth
The Diocese of Alabama in partnership with Joe Rush Center for Urban Mission, Inc. is offering our fourth Diocesan Junior High summer mission and outreach opportunity!
This project is more than just working and serving together. It is an entire experience filled with many gifts of grace. During our closing Eucharist at last year's event, I was filled with joy when we read our prayers of thanksgiving for grace we felt during our week together. There were many common threads woven through our prayers, such as new experiences, memories, music, and games, but most of all it was about the people. It was about old friends, new friends, true friends, and helping others. Although we had a lot of work to do while we were at YPPB, we also had a lot of fun together. I know I did, and I am looking forward to meeting new people again this year and getting to know old friends even better. The deadline to register is May 25, 2008. The cost is $150 and includes all room and board and supplies.
