Children’s Ministry

Children’s Ministry continues to thrive across the diocese, and our new Children’s Ministry Steering Committee will meet quarterly via Zoom and in person to offer recommendations and best practices in the areas of curriculum, classroom management, and spiritual formation. Youth Department

The diocesan YD is made up of fourteen 10th–12th graders from around the diocese who meet for quarterly retreats and regular Zoom meetings throughout the year to learn leadership skills, plan and lead events like Christmas Conference at Camp McDowell, and further their spiritual development.

Happening

HAPPENING is one of those things that must be experienced to be fully understood. During the three-day weekend, the 10-12th grade participants spend time seriously considering the person and teaching of Jesus Christ in a relaxed, fun, informal and loving atmosphere. They are provided with opportunities to share, discuss, learn and live with fellow Christians in an environment of acceptance and understanding. Campus Ministry

We have eight campus ministries located across the diocese for those ages 18–23-ish, whether you attend an institute of higher learning or not. Each one truly welcomes all—and they mean it! Whether you’re exploring faith or deeply rooted in it, these are loving communities where you can study, grow, and follow Jesus in real ways. We’re here for you in this transitional time of life—offering connection, care, and a place to belong.

Trauma Informed Ministry
We recognize that many people carry the effects of trauma into our congregations and communities. Rather than asking “What’s wrong with you?”, trauma-informed ministry asks, “What has happened to you?” and responds with compassion, awareness, and care. We are preparing trainings and online resource packets to better equip parishes. Click here for more details.
LGBTQ+ Ministries
We create spaces of welcome, connection, and spiritual growth where people can be fully themselves in the love of Christ. Through our annual retreat, periodic guest speakers, participation in local events and smaller regional gatherings, we build authentic communities rooted in joy, justice, and belonging.
DYM
The Diocesan Youth Ministers Community (DYM) is a growing group of clergy, staff, and volunteers who work with young people across the church. We meet monthly through in-person workshops and virtual Lunch & Learns to build community, grow professionally, and deepen our spirituality—supporting one another in the shared work of ministry with youth and young adults.
