Our Mission:
We are affirming Episcopal campus ministries that are truly welcoming to all—and we mean it. Whether you’re exploring faith or deeply rooted in it, this is a loving community where you can study, grow, and follow Jesus in real ways. We’re here for you in this transitional time of life—offering connection, care, and a place to belong.

College & Young Adult Ministries

Our campus ministries are located across Alabama and provide places of welcome and sanctuary. Through shared worship, meals, and service, we invite you to connect to God, your faith, and your community.

University of Alabama: Canterbury Chapel

A parish of the broader University community in Tuscaloosa, the people of Canterbury are seeking and finding Jesus Christ in Word, sacrament, and service. We are a lively parish and student center where faith seeks understanding while faith informs action. We invite you to learn more about us and to join in our lives, our work, and our ministries. We are the student center for the University and we are a parish of the Diocese of Alabama – and we find in this partnership rich and fruitful ways to share our lives and seek God. Come and see!

The Rev. Marc Burnette, Chaplain

Auburn University: Episcopal Student Ministries (Trinity Episcopal Church)

Our College Ministry group gathers once a week during the school year at the church for homemade dinner and Bible Study. Join us for prayer, formation, and community. Let’s talk about our ancient roots, modern questions, and eternal faith, both as a college ministry, and with the rest of our multi-generational and open and affirming community. We’re a politically purple parish, and all of us are always working on turning our hearts to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. No prior knowledge necessary, just come with an open heart!

Virginia Christian, Lay Chaplain

Vocare: Calling young adults to grow spiritually.

“Vocare,” meaning “to call,” is a renewal weekend for young adults who face decisions that set the direction for much of their adult life. Staffed by contemporaries and clergy, a Vocare weekend includes talks and discussion that grow in awareness of being called by God and to help one another in answering this call.

Young Adults: Connecting young adults to worship communities

We seek to engage young adults with their faith and with one another by creating an authentic welcome to an intentional community for all. We connect and serve young adults (~22-35ish) and worship communities, engaging our faith and one another to build an authentic Christian community.  We meet in parish groups as well as in larger geographical region groups.
