Introducing Ashley Haynes, Executive Assistant to the Bishop

We are excited to introduce Ashley Haynes as the new Executive Assistant to the Bishop, effective June 15, 2026.

As part of her role, Ashley will serve as the first point of contact for the Bishop and provide administrative and logistical support for the Bishop’s Office and the Canon to the Ordinary’s Office.

Prior to this role, Ashley served at the Episcopal Church of St. Francis of Assisi beginning in 2017, first as Parish Administrator and later as Director of Finance. Before joining St. Francis, she served at the Church of the Holy Apostles and St. Catherine’s Church in Chelsea. In these roles, she handled all facets of parish operations — from communications, membership records and facilities coordination to payroll, budgeting, financial reporting and stewardship.

Before her transition into church ministry, Ashley built a distinguished career in human resources, including serving as Director of Human Resources for the St. Vincent’s Health System. She and her husband, Gifford, have two children and a dog.

Ashley said, “I am looking forward to being a resource for parishes as we coordinate the Bishop’s visits and events throughout the Diocese. I feel blessed to continue answering God’s call in my ministry. I love supporting and helping others. I am especially excited to meet and learn about all the parishes and the large family we have here in the Diocese.”
