Holy Week & Easter: Services and Events Across the Diocese
As we prepare for Holy Week and Easter, we specially invite you to walk the way of the cross and the glory of the resurrection with your community of faith. From Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday, our churches across our Diocese offer meaningful opportunities to experience the depth of Holy Week. We have collected a list of some of the activities happening all over and welcome you to join us at one of our 87 parishes.

The church will observe its Service of Lessons and Spirituals on Good Friday at 3 p.m. Modeled on the King’s College Christmas Eve Service of Lessons and Carols and influenced by the work of Howard Thuman and others on African-American spirituals, the service weaves together the spirituals that recount and give voice to the events of Good Friday with readings from Scripture and The Book of Common Prayer’s Good Friday Litany of Solemn Collects, Prayers, and Anthems. The spirituals will be presented by soloists, ensembles, instrumentalists, and the congregation; members of the parish will give a dramatic reading of the passion narrative from the Gospel of John.
