New Clergy Called

New Clergy Called

We are glad to announce the calling of three clergy members to new congregations.

The Rev. Christopher Lynn Paul will have pastoral oversight for Trinity Church, Clanton, effective January 19, 2025, in the hope that God willing and the people consenting will become Priest in Charge after ordination.

The Rev. Christopher Lynn Paul was born and raised in a small rural town in the Nebraska Panhandle, where he was baptized in the Episcopal Church. After graduating from college, he moved to Alabama in 1998 and began a career in Radiology. Over the years, he has steadily advanced, earning multiple promotions, including his current role as Vice President of Clinical Operations overseeing five locations. During his time in Alabama, Chris became deeply involved in the Episcopal Church. After attending and serving on staff for several Cursillo weekends, he discerned a call to ministry and began studies through Sewanee’s ACTS program. He currently resides in Deatsville with his two dogs, Pepper and Gizmo.

He is excited to begin this new ministry with the people of Trinity, Clanton, and cannot wait to see what God has in store for them along this path.

Beginning February 2, 2025, the Rev. Lucian Cronkite will have pastoral oversight for St. Matthias’ Church, Tuscaloosa, in the hope that God willing and the people consenting will become Priest in Charge after ordination.

She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who specializes in serving adults and individuals with chronic mental illnesses. She has completed internships at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Jasper and Canterbury Chapel in Tuscaloosa. She has also completed her studies in the Sewanee Theological School’s curriculum for the ACTS program for bi-vocational clergy. Before this assignment, Lucian and her family have been active members of St. Michael’s Church, Fayette. She looks forward to serving at St. Matthias.

The Rev. William J. Fagan has been called to serve as Curate at the Cathedral Church of the Advent on October 25, 2024.

He is a native of Trussville, Alabama. He was baptized and attended the Church of the Holy Cross with his family in his formative years.

A 2015 graduate of Birmingham-Southern College, Will worked in the marketplace and non-profit sectors before his call to vocational ministry, which initially took shape working in college student ministry. He began his work at the Cathedral Church of the Advent in 2022 as the Boys Youth Director, this year transitioning in his role to lead the 20s & 30s ministry. He has an M.A. from Reformed Theological Seminary (Orlando) and will receive a certificate of Anglican Studies from Beeson Divinity School in the summer of 2025. Will is married to the former Elizabeth Ragland. They have two young daughters, Isabel and Nell.
